Golf the Best Courses in Costa del Sol’s Torremolinos

Torremolinos is a coastal town situated in the Malaga region of Spain’s Costa del Sol area. This tourist town has several golf courses that are not to be missed, as well as several beachside resorts. If you are planning your golf holidays to the Costa del Sol Torremolinos is a great city to base your trip from, as it has all of the amenities you need for a comfortable vacation. Local airport transfers are available from a host of reputable companies.

Parador del Golf

The first course to be built in Torremolinos was the Parador del Golf. This course sits right on the beach and is just five minutes from the Malaga airport. It was built in 1929, and has everything you would expect from a mature course.

Because the Parador course was built before the Costa del Sol was one of the most popular golf holiday destinations in the world, it is longer than many of the courses in the area. It features a full 18 holes as well as a third nine that is perfect for those with only a short period of time to play. The new nine holes are ideal for junior players, making Parador an ideal destination for those traveling with their families.

Guadalhorce Club de Golf

While not technically in Torremolinos, Guadalhorce Club de Golf is near enough to be played by those basing their trip in this popular city. This Kosti Kuronen designed course features 18 holes rated at par 72. It is a short 5860 yards from the longest tees, and is located just minutes from the airport, so guests could literally play a round on the way to their Torremolinos hotel.

The course is divided into two distinct halves. The first half looks like a course out of an English park, with flat fairways and few hazards. This belies the challenge of the second half, with its elevated greens and numerous hazards. It is a fun course to play, offering surprises around every corner.

Lauro Golf

Lauro Golf is another that is near the coastal town. This residential golf course has three nines that can be combined however the golfer desires to make a complete 18-hole game. Regardless of the combination, the full 18-hole game is rated at par 72. The natural surroundings dictated the course’s design, so many twists, turns, and elevations are found on the course.

The beautiful course is the work of the late Folco Nardi, who focused on creating a course that was not difficult, but still required some technical play to perfect. As nature has been embraced around every corner, it is not uncommon for golfers to come face to face with natural wildlife.

The course features fourteen lakes, adding challenge to the course along with natural beauty. The clubhouse at Lauro is housed in an ancient Andalusian building, making it both luxurious and historic. It houses a restaurant, pro shop, and changing rooms, and outdoor facilities include a swimming pool and tennis courts, making this a course where golfers can spend a restful day while they enjoy their favorite game.

The Benefits of Yoga

The Amazing Benefits of Taking Yoga Classes in Marbella

When one ponders taking yoga classes, Marbella rarely comes to mind, in fact, the men and women who are interested in studying the Hindu based discipline will seek out local courses. People who do this fail to realize that a person’s environment will play a huge factor in the achievement of the spiritual peace needed to develop and transition into the higher asanas (positions).

This is not to say that a person should sell all of their earthly possession and move to Southern Spain, but if one wants to get the maximum impact out of their yoga classes then Marbella may be a great destination, especially for beginners.

Why? Well, for a host of reasons.

Among them is the fact that many world renowned and recognized yogis settled in the famed Costa del Sol for the spiritual energy that emanates from the region. The energy of a place can play a huge role in your ability to accomplish your goals. For instance, people who live in smoggy and cluttered cities may find it difficult to get the breathing techniques down or to create a tension free environment. This will be especially true for novices, who may do themselves more harm than good if they cannot find a place to practice that will support their endeavors.

Once one has established a routine in an area that is conducive to the unifying peace that comes from the ancient art, they can essentially practice yoga anywhere, as they are now equipped with the building blocks necessary to facilitate their spiritual growth.

When an individual embarks on any journey they should utilize the best tools available to arrive at their desired destination. When it comes to yoga classes, the town of Marbella is one of those tools.

And just what are the many benefits of Yoga?

One is the establishment of a routine that will enrich both the body and soul. The study of bioenergetics has proven that human beings learn numerous bad habits in childhood that create circumstances leading to illness and mental problems like depression, phobias and psychosis.

Western society has especially built up walls against spiritual, emotional and physical health which is perhaps why we see diseases that people in more spiritually enlightened and relaxed countries do not. In fact, there are many civilizations that have no idea what cancer is.

Though we count ourselves to be wise, we are collectively, by our very intellect and drives, quite ignorant.

When taking yoga classes in Marbella, students learn to humble themselves and open their minds to their self imposed causes for misery and health related issues. They also learn how to apply yogistic principles daily so that the benefits they receive continue throughout their lives.

To be sure, yoga is not an off and on again discipline—it is a way of life. One cannot stop their learning and expect to continue to benefit indefinitely. Life is a journey and you cannot get to your destination by sitting on the road and reflecting on where you have been. The greatest gift of life is that is ever evolving and unfolding like a fragrant lotus flower. By indulging fundamental yoga and finding a yoga teacher in Marbella visitors not only get started on the right foot in regards to their individual journey, they may reach the breakthrough necessary to make that journey as wondrous as possible.

Prestigious European tournaments are held in the region on a regular basis, which attests to the quality of the courses. You will find long and short courses, 18-hole and 9-hole options, and even a lighted course that allows you to play into the wee hours of the night.

Pristine Accommodations

Most of the golf courses on the Costa del Sol sit on luxury resorts. Here you can find accommodations that meet and exceed all of your expectations.
